My entrepreneurial spirit began at 14 as a freshman in high school when I developed and monetized my first website. Since then I have developed several websites for clients in different industries. My interest in entrepreneurship did not stop at website development, during high school I discovered Alibaba and began working with manufacturers across the world to bring product ideas to reality. Sala, a luxury pool towel brand, is my current side project.
In college, I had a difficult time deciding whether to major in Business or Information Technology. I chose the latter and received my bachelor’s in Information Systems Technologies with a minor in Marketing. Upon graduating I was offered a job as a Junior Data Engineer and after two years I was promoted to a Senior Data Engineer. In my three years as a Data Engineer, I was fortunate to work with all areas of the business such as customers, sales reps, Data Scientists, and software engineers. Some of my responsibilities involved completing SQL code reviews, mentoring Junior Data Engineers, creating ETLs, documenting processes for technical and non-technical audiences, and developing SQL reports that would provide data to help the company make decisions.
Due to my technical knowledge and entrepreneurial spirit, I was recruited to join a Venture Capital firm. I joined Project Alpha as their Lead Associate and enjoyed working with founders to learn about their start-ups while researching and writing investment briefs for investors. At the end of October I joined a digital consulting company as a Product Analyst to begin my next journey.
I am innovative and personable with a passion for identifying potential products and determining customers' needs and desires. Ambitious, hardworking and a great team player. Adept at analyzing and researching data to make product decisions with profit in mind with experience in evaluating start-ups. Strong attention to detail and the ability to convey complex technical ideas to a non-technical audience.
